We've highlighted several new features coming to macOS Monterey , such as Low Power Mode and the option to erase a Mac without reinstalling the operating system , but there are some smaller tidbits that we wanted to share.
Animated Memoji on Login Screen
One small but fun new feature in macOS Monterey is the addition of a personalized Memoji on the login screen, complete with animated facial expressions.

Microsoft says it's working to have OneDrive running natively on Apple silicon this year.
Known Folder Move is coming to macOS, too.
It's rolling Known Folder Move out as well.
Microsoft says that it's working to have OneDrive run natively on Apple silicon "later this year" in a new blog post that also confirmed a much-requested feature is in the works - Known Folder Move.
Support for M1-powered Macs is something users have been asking for and Microsoft says that it's been listening to those requests. OneDrive will no longer need Rosetta 2 by the end of the year.

Apple this week released a Boot Camp version 6.1.15 for users running Windows on a Mac, as noted in a Reddit post spotted by The Verge .
The update adds support for more precise trackpad gestures, including a single tap to click, tapping the lower-right corner to right-click, swiping down to scroll up, and various multi-touch gestures using three or four fingers.

As part of WWDC this week, Apple revealed that newer Macs will be gaining support for Adaptive-Sync external displays with variable refresh rates in macOS Monterey.
Apple says Adaptive-Sync displays will be supported on any Mac with Apple silicon, like the M1 chip, as well as some recent Intel-based Macs. When a supported Adaptive-Sync display is connected to a compatible Mac, users will be able to enable Adaptive-Sync mode by selecting a new variable refresh rate option in System Preferences > Displays.
