Essential Acquires Newton Mail's Developer

Essential is the company that many recognize as being the startup founded by one of Android's creators and former Google exec, Andy Rubin. Now it looks like the company could be interested in expanding to other apps and services because it looks like they have acquired a company by the name of CloudMagic. For those who are unfamiliar with CloudMagic, they are the developers behind a popular email app called Newton Mail which was actually shut down in late September.
