CASIO's latest PRO TREK smartwatch is launching in the U.S. in May. Officially called the WSD-F20A the watch will be the first device from CASIO that comes with Wear OS , though it's important to note that Wear OS is just the re-brand of Android Wear and not really a new operating system. As smartwatches go CASIO's options have never been the most competitive on pricing, with its last two watches running on Android Wear having been upwards of $500 USD. Casio today announced a brand new smartwatch that's a bit more affordable than the company's recent offerings in this class. Called WSD-F20A, the new watch is part of Casio's Pro Trek series, thus being made for outdoor enthusiasts.
Running Google's Wear OS, the Casio WSD-F20A features built-in GPS and full color maps that can be used offline. The watch sports a 1.32-inch display with 320 x 300 pixels, and comes with various features that help in outdoor and water activities - including digital compass, barometer, altimeter, and activity tracker.
