If you buy a product like a smartphone, tablet, computer, or TV, would you be annoyed if you started receiving messages from the company in question telling you to upgrade when a new model is out? We imagine that not everyone will be thrilled by this, but that's more or less what Apple has been doing. Battery cases for the iPhone aren't new and there have been plenty of third-party cases created in the past. However a few years ago, Apple tried their hand at creating an official battery case called the Smart Battery Case. The case was released in 2015 but hasn't been updated since for Apple's newer handsets. The other day thanks to icons spotted in watchOS, it was suggested that Apple could have a new Smart Battery Case for the iPhone in the works. Now thanks to a post on 9to5Mac , alleged images of the upcoming battery case have been revealed, although for the most part it doesn't seem like Apple has changed much. As you can tell from the image above, the main different is the camera cutout what has been redesigned to fit the iPhone X, Xs, and Xs Max.
